In the breeding, it shouldn´t go just about the
beauty ideal image of our cats!
The most beautyful cat may look healthy and agile but is the cat
really healthy?
We can not look into our cats!
Health care and related testing and studies should be important
points in each of our breeds!
It is in our hands to give the best for a healthy breed and
healthy babies!

There are hereditary diseases we
can not detect with the naked eye!
For us, the cat can look totally healthy but suddenly everything can
be different.
Diseases can be also break out in later age of the cat.. or some
cats are just carriers, but they can inherit the disease to
their children!
Fortunately, you can find some hereditary diseases with simple DNA
tests!

The best known hereditary diseases are:
HCM - Hypertrophic Cardiomypathie
Is a heart muscle disease in which the heart muscle in whole or only
partly thickened.
PKD - polycystic kidney disease

more restricted in their function. These cysts can already form in
baby age.
HD - hip dysplasia
Is a slippage of the joint pan of the hip joint.
PL - patellar luxation
Here we speak of a regular dislocate the kneecap.
(More information about these diseases can be found
on the world wide web)
These hereditary diseases can get all cats, whether breeding cats or
